Names of umpires must be given to Di Rainbow 2 weeks prior to the start of competition. Anyone who wishes to umpire or wishes to learn how to umpire please speak to your coach so they can forward your names onto Sandy. Seniors automatically are allocated paid umpiring at a cost of $375 per team. This money is due by round 5.

Failure to fulfill umpiring duties results in a $50 fine, which must be paid before the team takes the court for their next game. There is no loss of points. Failure to umpire three (3) times in a competition, by a team, results in a withdrawal of that team. Umpires must wear playing uniforms or whites with appropriate footwear, ie rubber soled shoes (not thongs or sandals) for health reasons, please supply your own whistle.

Note: All umpires must be registered with the Association, either as players or non players, to be eligible for insurance cover.
